[International Telecommunication Union: Global Internet Users to Reach Approximately 6.3 Billion in 2026] The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) stated on the 3rd that the number of people using the internet globally is estimated to reach approximately 6.3 billion in 2026, representing 76% of the world's population. However, imbalances in internet access persist across different countries and population groups. According to the ITU's latest "Facts and Figures 2026" report, despite the continued expansion of internet connectivity worldwide, 2 billion people remain "offline," and significant disparities in internet usage among different population groups remain.
