According to four sources familiar with the matter, Anthropic is preparing to launch its initial public offering (IPO) later this month, potentially valuing the company at $1.5 trillion. In a recent meeting with investors, the company stated that its newly formed 15-person chip design team has begun engineering and designing custom chips using its own Claude model. Some sources indicated that Anthropic engineers have found that Claude significantly reduces chip design time compared to the traditional workflows of large chip design companies like Nvidia and AMD, as they estimate.
