[Dollar Could Rise if Jobs Data Fuels Bets on December Rate Hike] Monex Europe analysts said in a report that the dollar could rise if Friday's nonfarm payrolls report reinforces the prospect of a further Fed rate hike in December. Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal expect nonfarm payrolls to increase by 59,000 in October, following a 29,000 increase in September; the unemployment rate is expected to remain at 4.2%. "Given that the market has already priced in 75%-80% of the December rate hike expectation, a report that meets expectations or is stronger, especially with wage data at 0.3%, should push market pricing towards fully reflecting this expectation." The DXY Dollar Index rose 0.1% to 101.803.
