[Trump congratulates Democrats on their midterm election victory, claims veto power and explains Republican losses] (1) According to CBS, President Trump congratulated Democrats on their midterm election victory, saying, “Congratulations to the Democrats. I look forward to working with you to work together for the good of our country.” (2) Trump said he knows many Democrats and has absolute veto power; he believes he can find a solution and thinks Democrats will be willing to work with him, otherwise he will veto everything, which Democrats do not want. (3) In explaining the Republican candidates’ losses, Trump said that in some cases voters didn’t like those candidates; in other cases, those candidates were not his friends, and Republican grassroots voters knew this better than anyone else, so they did not actively participate in the vote. (4) Trump said that if he had been on the ballot, the Republicans could have won easily, which is regrettable, but he did not run. (5) When asked if he was frustrated, Trump said he “had done his best” and that he “had given it his all.” (6) In addition, Trump said regarding the war with Iran, “I say when it will end, and it will end.”
