[Spain's Registered Unemployment Increases by 43,128 in October, Exceeding Expectations] ⑴ In October 2026, the number of registered unemployed in Spain increased by 43,128 from the previous month, reaching 2.42 million, still the lowest level for the same month since 2007. ⑵ Analysts had previously expected an increase of 18,700. ⑶ The number of registered unemployed rose in most sectors, with the service sector increasing by 26,853 (1.58%), industry by 1,911 (1.06%), and agriculture by 1,547 (2.21%). ⑷ The construction sector remained largely unchanged (increasing by 102, 0.06%), while the number of unemployed without prior work experience increased by 12,715 (4.87%).
