[France's October Composite PMI Revised Down to 46.6; Private Sector Contraction Exceeds Initial Reading] ⑴ The S&P Global France Composite PMI for October was revised sharply down to 46.6 from the initial reading of 48.4, lower than September's 51.1, confirming that the country's private sector has returned to contraction territory. ⑵ The decline was significant, the steepest since May.
