[Eurozone Composite PMI Falls to 51.7 in October, Business Activity Slows] ⑴ The S&P Global Eurozone Composite PMI fell to 51.7 in October 2026, down from 53.1 in September and also below the initial reading of 51.9. ⑵ This is the first decline in the index since May, indicating weaker expansion in private sector activity, with the slowest pace in four months. ⑶ The slowdown was broad-based, with both manufacturing and service sector output growth declining. ⑷ New business inflows nearly stalled after three months of robust growth, while employment declined and business confidence fell to its lowest level since May. ⑸ On the price front, input cost inflation accelerated to a five-month high, while output charges continued to rise sharply, although the rate of increase slowed compared to September.
