[Bank of England May Acknowledge Rising Inflation Risks at Thursday's Interest Rate Decision] In a report, Antonio Del Favero of Macro Hive stated that the Bank of England may acknowledge rising inflation risks in the UK at its policy meeting this week. "Given the resilience of the country's economy, we believe the upside risks to inflation (as well as the risks of indirect and second-round effects) will be a concern," Favero said. He added that given high energy prices, the Bank of England may revise its inflation forecast upwards to a peak of 4.5% in the first half of 2027. He noted that market expectations of four rate hikes by the end of 2027 appear somewhat excessive, but not extreme.
