[Spain's Wetter City Faces Water Crisis Due to Persistent Drought] According to reports from Spain on November 3rd, Bigo, a major city in the Galician autonomous community known as "Spain's wettest city," is facing a severe water crisis. Affected by the persistent drought and a significant reduction in rainfall, the water levels in the city's main reservoirs have plummeted, sparking heated debate between the local government and the autonomous community regarding whether to declare a state of emergency. It is reported that the Eras Reservoir, the main water source for Bigo and nine surrounding municipalities, has currently reached an extremely low level of 33.6% water storage, compared to 77.3% at the same time last year. Bigo Mayor Abel Caballero publicly warned that at the current rate of consumption, the city's supply of fully guaranteed quality drinking water can only last for 22 days. Caballero strongly criticized the Galician regional government for not yet declaring a state of emergency for the region and called on higher authorities to take immediate and substantive intervention measures.
