[A Bumper Autumn Grain Harvest in my country is a Foregone Conclusion] Autumn grain production accounts for about three-quarters of the annual grain output. The latest agricultural situation report from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that over 90% of the national autumn grain harvest has been completed, making a bumper harvest a certainty. This year, my country has intensified its efforts to promote a new round of action to increase grain production capacity by 100 billion jin (50 million tons), launching for the first time 20 cities implementing large-scale yield improvement initiatives, increasing the number of counties implementing such initiatives from 702 to 1000, thus promoting more balanced production increases across a wider area. In Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, experts measured the yield of 13.54 million mu (867,000 hectares) of demonstration areas for yield improvement, of which 4.0699 million mu (267,667 hectares) reached the "ton-grain field" standard, representing the best level of large-scale yield improvement nationwide.
