MSCI Chairman Henry Fernandez said on Friday that the index provider needs to see South Korea implement the relevant regulatory changes before considering upgrading South Korea to a developed market. Speaking at a conference in Seoul, he said, "I've seen progress in rules and regulations, but we need to see these measures implemented in practice. Therefore, to accelerate this process, we need to work together to get all parties across the finish line."
