[National Development and Reform Commission: Energy Supply Generally Able to Meet Demand This Winter Heating Season] At a press conference held today (November 6th) by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) as part of its "Striving for the 15th Five-Year Plan" series, it was announced that energy supply for this winter heating season is generally able to meet demand, ensuring a warm winter for the people. National coal production reached 385 million tons in September, and further increased in October compared to the previous month, while coal inventories for power generation remain high. The foundation for energy supply continues to be strengthened, with over 200 billion cubic meters of natural gas resources secured for the heating season. Underground gas storage facilities have achieved full storage capacity, generally sufficient to meet demand. (CCTV News)
