[Romania's Industrial Production Growth Hits Five-Month High in December 2025] ⑴ Romania's industrial production grew 1.6% year-on-year in December 2025. ⑵ This figure reverses the previous month's revised 0.4% decline. ⑶ The latest growth rate is the strongest industrial activity growth since July. ⑷ Output increased across all sectors. ⑸ Extractive industries saw growth of 2.9% from 0.3% in November. ⑹ Growth was driven by increased output in metal ores and other extractive industries. ⑺ Activity in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector further increased to 2.8%, from 1.4% previously. ⑻ Manufacturing production recovered to 1.1%, from a previous decline of 1%. ⑼ Output of computer, electronic and optical products, machinery and equipment and other transport equipment was strong. ⑽ On a monthly basis, industrial activity grew 0.8% in December. ⑪ The previous month's figure was revised down to a decline of 0.6%.
