[Panssen Macro: Eurozone Q4 Growth Faces Downward Revision Risk, Potentially Slipping from 0.3% to 0.2%] ⑴ Pansen Macro economist Claus Vistesen noted in a report that data confirmed Eurozone Q4 GDP growth at 0.3% quarter-on-quarter, in line with the previous quarter and market expectations, but faces downward revision risks. ⑵ Vistesen stated that data to be released next week may show a sharp decline in December industrial output, and recent service sector data has also been weak. However, the construction sector performed better than expected this quarter. ⑶ Overall, these data pose a downward revision risk to the Eurozone's two largest economies, Germany and France. "This could bring the Eurozone's economic growth estimate closer to around 0.2%," Vistesen said. ⑷ From a data perspective, the weakness in both industry and services points to insufficient endogenous momentum. If a downward revision is subsequently confirmed, it will further strengthen market expectations for ECB easing this year. ⑸ The market will need to pay attention to the December industrial output data to be released next week, as well as the revision range of the final GDP figures for Germany and France, which will determine the final reading of Eurozone Q4 growth.
