French President Emmanuel Macron stated at the Munich Security Conference on March 13 that Europe must shift its focus to long-term strategic thinking. In addition to building deep strike capabilities, it must also assess how France's nuclear deterrent can be integrated into the EU's future security architecture. He pointed out that now is the time for Europe to demonstrate its strength and build a powerful Europe. Europe must learn to be a geopolitical entity, and therefore, Europeans must conduct related work based on their own thinking and interests. Macron stated that Europeans must readjust and restructure the European security architecture, as its past architecture, designed and built during the Cold War, is no longer applicable. He also indicated that France has begun consultations with leaders of some European countries, including Germany, on this matter and will continue to advance related discussions in the future.
