(2) The company announced on Tuesday that it has signed a $4.3 billion mineral flow transaction agreement with Wheaton Precious Metals for silver from the Antamina mine in Peru. The transaction is part of BHP Billiton’s strategy to create value through portfolio management, with the company aiming to generate up to $10 billion in total through such transactions, including the sale to Wheaton and a $2 billion Australian power infrastructure agreement signed last December. (3) In an interview following BHP Billiton's announcement of its first-half results, Pan Wenyi stated, "We have many potentially undervalued infrastructure or assets within our company.
