[Trump Says He's Indirectly Involved in US-Iran Nuclear Talks] On the evening of February 16th local time, while returning to Washington on his presidential plane, US President Trump stated in a media interview that he would be "indirectly" involved in the new round of indirect talks between the US and Iran to be held in Geneva today (February 17th). Trump said, "The talks are very important. Iran is a very tough negotiator. Let's see what the outcome is." When asked by reporters whether "reaching an agreement is almost impossible," Trump said he believed Iran "wants an agreement" and felt that Iran "doesn't want to bear the consequences of not reaching an agreement."
