[Hamas Condemns Israel's Violation of Rafah Crossing Mechanisms] On the 16th local time, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement condemning Israel for preventing thousands of patients needing to travel abroad for medical treatment from passing through the Rafah crossing. Hamas stated that this action violated the operational mechanisms of the Rafah crossing stipulated in the Gaza ceasefire agreement. On the same day, Hamas also accused Israel of systematic mistreatment of Palestinians returning to Gaza and called on the international community to force Israel to comply with international humanitarian law and fully open the Rafah crossing.
