Dhiraj Nim, an economist and foreign exchange strategist at ANZ Bank in India, stated that the US-India trade agreement eliminated India's relative disadvantage compared to other Southeast Asian countries in accessing the US market. However, pressure from foreign capital outflows and the country's current account deficit continue to impact the rupee. Currently, several economists predict that the rupee will fall to around 94 against the US dollar this year.
