Gold prices edged higher on Wednesday, potentially marking a technical rebound. This followed a 2.8% overnight drop in near-month gold futures to a two-week low. Konstantinos Chrysikos, head of client relations at Kudotrade, stated that reduced liquidity during holidays in major markets could exacerbate short-term price volatility. However, the broader outlook for gold remains largely unchanged. He noted that despite active diplomatic channels in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, the lack of concrete agreements in these regions sustains geopolitical risks and demand for the precious metal.
