[Japan Announces Three US Investment Projects, Several Japanese Companies Intend to Participate] (1) Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ryosuke Akazawa, stated that Japan has decided to participate in three US investment projects, with several Japanese companies expressing their intention to participate. These include: (2) A synthetic diamond project: an investment of approximately US$600 million, with Asahi Diamond Industries and Noritake Corporation nominated as purchasers. (3) A gas-fired power generation project: an investment of approximately US$33.3 billion, supplying power to data centers, with Toshiba, Hitachi, and SoftBank Group expressing interest in participating. (4) An oil infrastructure project: an investment of approximately US$2.1 billion, with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, JFE, Nippon Steel, and Mitsui Offshore & Marine Engineering considering participation. Akazawa stated that Japan will continue to closely coordinate with the US on the project details.
