Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Ryoma Akazawa told reporters on Wednesday that Japanese companies, including SoftBank Group, Toshiba, and Hitachi, have expressed interest in participating in a U.S. natural gas project announced by President Trump. Akazawa stated that other companies have also expressed interest in two other projects outlined by the U.S. president. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Steel, and Mitsui Offshore & Marine Engineering are interested in providing materials for an oil export facility project, while Asahi Diamond Industries and Noritake are interested in purchasing products from a synthetic diamond manufacturing plant.
