On Wednesday (February 18), U.S. Treasury yields generally rose by more than 2 basis points in late New York trading. The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note rose 2.50 basis points to a daily high of 4.0865% and continued to fluctuate upwards throughout the day. The yield on the 2-year U.S. Treasury note rose 2.91 basis points to 3.4616%, and the yield on the 30-year U.S. Treasury note rose 2.23 basis points to 4.7108%. The spread between the 2-year and 10-year U.S. Treasury yields was roughly flat at +61.883 basis points. The yield on 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) rose 0.77 basis points to 1.7894%, the yield on 2-year TIPS fell 0.61 basis points to 0.7566%, and the yield on 30-year TIPS rose 0.96 basis points to 2.4824%.
