[South Korea's Air Traffic Surpasses One Million Flights for the First Time Last Year] South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on Thursday that air traffic is projected to surpass one million flights for the first time by 2025, driven by a significant increase in international travel demand. Data shows that the total number of domestic and international flights to and from South Korean airports reached 1,013,830 last year, a 6.8% increase year-on-year. This figure includes both passenger and non-passenger flights. Last year, South Korean airspace averaged 2,778 flights per day, 20.4% higher than the previous record of 2,307 flights set in 2019.
