As of the end of 2025, the outstanding balance of commercial bill acceptance reached 21.2 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.2% compared to the end of 2024; the outstanding balance of discounting reached 16.5 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.2% compared to the end of 2024. The People's Bank of China's 2025 financial market operation report shows that in 2025, 232,000 small and micro enterprises issued bills, with a total bill issuance amount of 31.1 trillion yuan. 389,000 small and micro enterprises discounted bills, with a total discounting amount of 25.8 trillion yuan.
