[Argentina Loses Nearly 22,000 Companies in Two Years] Data recently released by Argentina's Occupational Risk Regulatory Agency shows that the country has lost nearly 22,000 companies in the past two years. In a report, the agency stated that the number of registered businesses in Argentina fell from over 510,000 in November 2023 to over 490,000 in November 2025. During the same period, the number of registered employees decreased from 9.857 million to 9.567 million, resulting in the loss of nearly 300,000 jobs. Furthermore, the failure rate of newly established businesses remains high. From the third quarter of 2024 to the second quarter of 2025, 34% of the failing businesses were less than three years old. Analysts believe that the decrease in the number of businesses reflects a slowdown in economic activity. The Milaire government's significant cuts to public spending over the past two years have impacted various economic sectors and shaken the job market. (Xinhua)
