According to sources familiar with the matter, Bank of America will invest $25 billion in private lending transactions, joining its Wall Street peers in participating in lending in this rapidly growing market by leveraging its own balance sheet. The bank will use its own funds to invest in private lending projects as an extension of its existing direct lending business, and plans to have its capital markets division, part of its investment banking arm, conduct the relevant transactions.
