At the close of trading in New York, the euro was worth $1.1763, down from $1.1788 the previous day; the pound sterling was worth $1.3451, down from $1.3503; the dollar was worth 155.09 yen, up from 154.79 yen; the dollar was worth 0.7759 Swiss francs, up from 0.7728 Swiss francs; the dollar was worth 1.3706 Canadian dollars, up from 1.3698 Canadian dollars; and the dollar was worth 9.0773 Swedish krona, up from 9.0395 Swedish krona.
