On February 19, local time, US President Donald Trump posted on social media that, given the “enormous interest” shown by the public, he would instruct the Secretary of War and relevant departments and agencies to initiate the identification and release of government documents related to extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Trump stated in the post that the declassification would include “any and all information” related to these “highly complex but extremely compelling and important” issues. He concluded the post with, “God bless America.”
