On the 20th, senior Canadian government officials and local officials welcomed the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling that the Trump administration's massive tariffs were illegal. Dominic LeBlanc, Canada's Minister of Trade for the United States, issued a statement on social media saying that the Supreme Court's ruling further supported Canada's long-standing position that the U.S. tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act were "completely unjustified."
