[NASA: Propulsion System Anomaly Likely to Delay US Crewed Lunar Orbit Mission] On February 21, local time, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman stated that a temporary interruption of helium flow in the cryogenic propulsion stage of the Space Launch System was detected in nighttime monitoring data. This anomaly "almost certainly" will affect the launch of the Artemis 2 crewed lunar orbit mission, originally scheduled for March. The technical team is currently investigating the cause of the malfunction and preparing to return the rocket carrying the Artemis 2 crewed lunar orbit mission to the Spacecraft Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center for further inspection. Isaacman stated that further updates will be released as more information becomes available. On February 20, NASA officials stated that the launch of the Artemis 2 crewed lunar orbit mission was planned for March 6. The launch has been postponed multiple times previously. (CCTV News)
