Tesla's Robotaxi self-driving taxis are expected to operate 24/7 next month. Ashok Elluswamy, head of Tesla's AI business, revealed this week that Tesla's Robotaxi self-driving taxis are very close to achieving their goal of "24/7 operation." In response to user requests for late-night Cybercab rides, he stated on social media platform X that the operational capabilities are expected to be officially launched "around next month" after the "next core technology planned for version 15" is fully integrated and adapted. However, Elluswamy did not disclose which specific technology or function will be launched, nor did he specify whether the adjustment to operating hours will first be implemented on Cybercab models designed specifically for Robotaxi, or simultaneously applied to the currently operational Model Y fleet, or cover both types of vehicles. Furthermore, Tesla has not yet announced specific city rollout plans for the service. For reference, Tesla's Robotaxi service is currently operating 7 days a week in the United States, with daily service hours from 6:00 to 22:00, covering multiple cities including Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa.
