[Eurozone October Services PMI Revised Down to 51.4, Growth Slowing] ⑴ In October 2026, the S&P Global Eurozone Services PMI was revised down to 51.4 from the initial reading of 51.7, lower than September's 53, indicating a slowdown in services growth at the start of the fourth quarter. ⑵ New business inflows declined slightly, a significant departure from the robust growth seen in each month of the third quarter. ⑶ To support business activity, companies consumed backlogged work, and the backlog of orders declined for the 11th time in the past 12 months. ⑷ October data also showed a renewed decline in services employment, the first time since May. ⑸ Service sector price pressures eased slightly, with both output-based and input-based inflation rates falling for the first time since July.
