[Thailand-US Trade Agreement Negotiations Enter Final Stage; Reciprocal Tariff Rate Expected to Remain Around 19%] ⑴ Thai Prime Minister Anutin stated that negotiations for the Thailand-US trade agreement have entered the final stage. According to the agreement, the reciprocal tariff rate imposed by the US on Thailand is expected to remain around 19%. ⑵ Anutin expressed hope to persuade US President Trump to further lower the tariff rate. The reciprocal trade agreement is currently undergoing legal review. ⑶ Thailand hopes to secure even lower tariff rates after making progress on some of the demands raised by the US. ⑷ The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seeking to arrange a meeting between Anutin and Trump during the upcoming ASEAN or APEC summit.
