[Eurozone Construction Sector Contracts Intensify in October] The S&P Global Eurozone Construction PMI fell to 42.5 in October, down from 43.4 in September, marking the largest drop since April. Industry activity has declined for 54 consecutive months, with all three major Eurozone economies experiencing contraction. France saw the largest decline, followed by Germany, while Italy experienced a relatively moderate drop, the smallest in three months. Demand weakened further, with new orders recording their largest decline in six months. Employment and purchasing activity also contracted, although the rate of decline slowed compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, input cost inflation accelerated to a five-month high, and business confidence remained significantly weak.
